A photographic series about life at Boudhanath, an important stupa for Tibetan Buddhists as a place of pilgrimage, meditation, invocations, prayers, songs and rituals. Located on a major trade route between Nepal and Tibet, the place has a special atmosphere with high universal energy. Hundreds of Tibetan Buddhists and local Nepalis come here for their daily rituals. They walk three or more times around the stupa while repeating the mantra ‘Om mani Padme Hum’. Various monasteries are located here, where monks and nuns study Tibetan Buddhism.
